For more than a decade, Dwight and The Gloo Factory have been involved in the community, working with a plethora of causes, events or groups. As we talk about saving The Gloo Factory, people often share a story about working together on an action or event. From our Facebook Cause page:
The Gloo Factory has done several dozen printing projects for See Sharp Press. It keeps in print classic anarchist works that would otherwise be out-of-print, and puts worthwhile essays in more permanent format. Having a printer that shares our principles is extremely important. Without The Gloo Factory, these materials would not exist. —Chaz
I find Dwight to be one of the most altruistic, generous, and open minded people I have ever met. He is sweet and soft spoken and would do anything for the people and causes that he loves! Truly passionate, gifted, and selfless people are the most precious social resource I can imagine. We can’t let greed and “progress” obliterate the last remnants of our communities voice. I have worked with Dwight on and off for the past 11 years screen printing, tabling at events, and doing web support. He has been an inspiration to countless activists over the years and I am really excited to see the community rallying behind him in this time of need! We can do it! As a glue sniffer, i will attest that Dwight has the best glue and is willing to share it with most open minded people. Oh yeah he also backs other causes like people not dying in the desert while fleeing poverty brought on by silly trade policies. I think he’s also into protecting the environment and shit and that cool too. Long live glue and the environment and shit. Ok peace out in yer new building.
